To celebrate the global release of the newest Pokémon movie on Netflix on October 8, there will be an event in Pokémon GO. During this event you can expect the following:
A Special Research story
Encounter Zarude, a Dark- and Grass-type Mythical Pokémon, for the first time in Pokémon GO.
You can only get this research when you open the game during the event period. Once you have received the research, you can complete it whenever you want.

Explorer Pikachu returns, and can be Shiny
Featured Pokémon in raids
One-star: Explorer Pikachu, Larvitar, Roggenrola, Foongus, and Rufflet
Three-star: Lickitung, Chansey, Pinsir, Ludicolo, and Flygon
