Pokémon GO Tour: Johto
📅 Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. → 9:00 p.m. (local time)
With the success of Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto earlier this year, the next stage of the Pokémon GO Tour is coming soon. Celebrate the classic Pokémon Gold and Silver versions with the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto! While some features will be available for all Trainers, a ticket to the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto will unlock the full experience of this event. For the first time, a live, in-person Pokémon GO Tour event will also be held. As an added bonus, you can purchase your Pokémon GO Tour: Johto ticket early to access the Season of Heritage’s January and February Timed Research:
Purchase your ticket by Monday, January 10, 2022 (local time), for access to both the January and February Timed Research
Purchase your ticket by Thursday, February 10, 2022 (local time), for only the February Timed Research
Event Features
Event tickets are available for purchase in the in-game shop for $11.99 USD (or equivalent pricing in local currency, plus applicable taxes and fees), and cannot be purchased with PokéCoins. The following features will be available to all ticket holders:
All Pokémon originally discovered in Johto will be appearing during event hours, whether in the wild, in raids, as research reward encounters, from eggs, through trading, or via Evolution
An event-exclusive Field Research featuring the Mythical Pokémon Celebi with a special move will be available
Completing the above Special Research will unlock a "Masterwork" Research story, which will be completed over a longer period of time
All Johto Pokémon will be available in their shiny forms, even those previously unavailable in shiny form in Pokémon GO!
Unown G, O, T, U, R, and J will be attracted to Incense during the event and will be available shiny as well
Nine Collection Challenges will be available to complete during event hours.
Two versions of the event ticket will be available, each featuring exclusive Pokémon attracted to Incense and increased shiny rates on certain Pokémon.
A free bundle featuring Remote Raid Passes will be available in the shop, and Trainers can earn up to 9 free Raid Passes when spinning Gyms
Eggs will hatch in 1/4 their normal distance, and award 2x Candy when hatched
Earn extra Candy when catching featured Johto Pokémon
Ticketed players will receive an exclusive in-game Event medal
Find exclusive event stickers from spinning PokéStops or for purchase in the shop
Don't forget to take a snapshot for a special surprise!
Non-Ticketed Features
All Trainers will have access to the following, with or without a ticket:
Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region appearing in the wild, raids, and 7km eggs
Previously region-exclusive Johto Pokémon in raids worldwide
Johto baby Pokémon such as Pichu, Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Togepi hatching from 2km from PokéStops spun during the event
Free Timed Research focused on Trainer Battles
Will You GO for Gold or Silver?
As with the Kanto Tour event, two different experiences will be available for ticketed players: Gold or Silver version. Each will feature version-exclusive Pokémon and better odds for certain shiny Pokémon. You'll need to choose your version before the event begins, and won't be able to switch once you've chosen. But don't rush, you have some time to think about it! Be sure to find a friend with the opposite version to trade and complete the Collection Challenge!
