As the end of July is near, it's time for the monthly overview for everything Pokémon GO in August 2022:
GO Fest
From Friday, August 5, 2022, to Sunday, August 7, 2022, Pokémon GO Fest will take place in Sapporo Japan. This will be the last in-person GO Fest of this summer. At the end of August, on August 27, there will also be the GO Fest 2022: Finale! More details about this Finale event will be released in the future.
Community Day

Two events have been announced for August, and more details for the events will be announced later.
Bug Out!
📅 Wednesday, August 10 → Tuesday, August 16
This event will feature Bug-type Pokémon. Are you like Misty? Or do you love some cute bug friends?
2022 Pokémon World Championships Event
📅 Thursday August 18 → Tuesday, August 23
For the first time ever, Pokémon GO will be featured during the Pokémon World Championships and with this comes an in-game celebration.
Ultra Unlock Bonuses
There are multiple Pokémon GO Fest celebrations happening around the world this year. Due to those celebrations, Trainers have a chance of unlocking multiple bonuses. On top of this, the Season of GO is still active as well.

Language Selection
Soon, Trainers will be able to change their language settings in Pokémon GO!
Trainers will be able to play Pokémon GO in their language of choice, regardless of the language on their device. The following languages will be available when this setting launches:

Italian
Japanese
Korean
Portuguese (Brazilian)
Russian
Spanish
Thai
Turkish
Traditional Chinese
Trainers will need to close and reopen Pokémon GO for any language changes to take affect.
