Crowning a World Champion
The 2022 Pokémon World Championships will take place from August 18 to August 21, 2022 in London, England, at the ExCeL London convention center!
The top qualifying Pokémon GO players from around the globe will compete to determine who will be crowned the 2022 Pokémon GO World Champion. Among other prizes the Pokémon GO World Champion will receive an in-game World Champion outfit and pose!

In addition to all the festivities planned in Pokémon GO and live at the ExCel London Center, exclusive, time-limited codes will be shared periodically in the Pokémon GO Twitch chat while the Pokémon GO World Championships stream is live! Team Building Research
Trainers who redeem a code from the Twitch stream will obtain an exclusive Timed Research that will provide Trainers with an introduction to battling plus a choice of Pokémon encounters for them to craft a competitive Great League Team.
Trainers will have a choice between the following encounter rewards:
Team Option 1: Ariados, Pelipper, Galarian Stunfisk✨
Team Option 2: Skarmory✨, Swampert, Drapion
Team Option 3: Talonflame, Venusaur✨, Jellicent
How to redeem a code
Look out for a code thats shared via the Pokémon GO Twitch chat throughout the Pokémon World Championships streams
Redeem the code quickly before it expires. The codes will be redeemable for 1 hour after they got shared and you will get multiple opportunities to redeem a code.
Celebratory Avatar Items
Two new in-game avatar items will be available in commemoration of the 2022 Pokémon World Champonships!
2022 Worlds Tee: Available globally via a code shared during the World Champonships Stream. The code will also be distributed on official Pokémon GO social media channels shortly after. The code will be valid through August 22, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. UTC.
2022 Worlds Parcipant Tee: Available from the Pokéstop located at the Pokémon GO Booth in the World Championships venue in London during the event.
A World Championships Celebration

Pokémon GO is celebrating the 2022 Pokémon World Championships and all things GO battle League.
Event bonuses
The maximum number of GO Battle League sets you can play per day will be increased from 5 to 10, for a total of 50 battles per day.
Challengers with Pokémon teams inspired by the ones used by Trainers who won the Pokémon GO Regional Championships will appear at Pokéstops.
