Event Features

Furfrou, the Poodle Pokémon, and its fashionable friends will frolic down the runway in the Fashion Week 2021 event! New and returning costumed Pokémon will be featured in this week-long celebration of all things stylish. With the introduction of Furfrou, a new form-change mechanic will also be introduced in Pokémon GO.

Featured Pokémon

  • New Pokémon: Furfrou (Natural Form) will be spawning in the wild worldwide. See the end of this article to learn where and how to obtain its other glamourous forms

  • Wild: Kirlia, Blitzle, Croagunk, and Butterfree (all fashionably costumed)

  • 7 km eggs: Alolan Meowth, Galarian Meowth, Smoochum (costumed), and Shinx (costumed)

  • Shiny Pokémon: Costumed Butterfree, Sneasel, Smoochum, Kirlia, Shinx, Croagunk, and Blitzle will be available as Shiny Pokémon if you're lucky! (Blitzle will remain shiny-eligible, though rare, after the event)

  • One-star: Sneasel (costumed), Shinx (costumed), Croagunk (costumed), Scraggy, Furfrou (Natural)

  • Three-star: Butterfree (costumed) and Kirlia (costumed), Delcatty, Gothorita

  • Five-star: Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie (in their respective regions)

  • Mega: Mega Houndoom

Research and More

  • A new Special Research story featuring Meloetta, the Melody Pokémon, will begin (please note that trainers who already encountered Meloetta during GO Fest 2021 will earn Meloetta candy rather than another chance to catch Meloetta)

  • Misunderstood Mischief: Another part of the season-long Special Research story will be unlocked at the beginning of the event

  • A Timed Research will also be available, rewarding encounters with event Pokémon, with an exclusive Furfrou Wig avatar item reward upon completion

  • Challenge "Fashionable Trainers with fashionable Pokémon" at PokéStops to earn rewards

  • Fashion week avatar items will be available in the in-game shop, and certain avatar items will also be offered at special discount prices

Form-Change Mechanic

Furfrou will always start in its Natural Form, but the new form-change mechanic will allow trainers to change its Trim! The cost to change Furfrou's Trim will be 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust. To change its form:

  • Select Furfrou in your Pokémon storage

  • Tap the "Change Form" button to bring up a list of available Trims

  • Select your desired Trim

Some form changes will only be available in certain regions of the world:

  • Matron Trim: Global

  • Dandy Trim: Global

  • Debutante Trim: The Americas

  • Diamond Trim: Europe, the Middle East, and Africa

  • Star Trim: Asia-Pacific

  • La Reine Trim: France

  • Kabuki Trim: Japan
