Bug Out! Event Overview

The always-popular Bug Out! event is returning to Pokémon GO this August! The Grubbin family will be joining the game, along with the introduction of Mega Scizor, and the debut of shiny Venipede. Get your cowboy hats on (since Caterpie still doesn't have his own) and get ready to wrangle up some Bugs!
Event Features

* Evolving Grubbin into Charjabug will require 25 Grubbin candy, while evolving Charjabug into Vikavolt will require 100 Grubbin candy, as well as being near an active Magnetic Lure.
Ultra Unlock event bonuses
Additional Candy for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great throws and Excellent Throws.
Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws and Excellent Throws.
Unown T will appear in Raid battles during the Bug out! event!✨
Pansage, the grass Monkey Pokémon, will appear in the wild and in raids around the world during the Bug out! event!
A Timed Research focused on catching Bug-type Pokémon will be available throughout the event! Complete Research tasks to earn items, Pokémon encounters, and Scizor Mega Energy!
Collection Challenge
A Bug-type Collection Challenge will be featured during the event, allowing Trainers to earn following rewards:

Bug Catcher pose
The Bug Catcher pose will also be available for purchase after the event.
Group Play Bonuses
When 3 of more Trainers join an in-person Raid Battle, they'll be able to make certain Bug-type Pokémon spawn in a 300-meter radius around the Gym for 15 minutes. The Pokémon that appears will vary each day of the event:

Event Bonuses
Trainers will be able to earn 2× XP for catching Pokémon with Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws
Snapshot encounters with a "surprise" Bug-type Pokémon will be avaiable during the event
