August Community Day: Galarian Zigzagoon

August's Community Day will feature Galarian Zigzagoon, the Tiny Raccoon Pokémon! During event hours, Galarian Zigzagoon will be appearing very frequently in the wild. Lucky Trainers may even encounter a Shiny Galarian Zigzagoon! This month's Community Day will also feature exciting bonuses and be followed a special Raid event.
Event Bonuses
3× Catch Stardust
2× Catch Candy
2× chance of receiving Candy XL from catching
3-Hour Incense (when activated during the event)
3-Hour Lure Modules (when activated during the event)
AR Snapshot photobomb encounters with Galarian Zigzagoon
1 additional Special Trade during event hours (+5 hours after)
50% reduction in Stardust cost for trades during event hours (+5 hours after)
Exclusive Move
Evolve Galarian Linoone between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (local time) on Community Day into Obstagoon that will learn the following exclusive Charged move:
Obstruct
Trainer Battles: 15 power (+ increases the user’s Defense and lowers the opponent’s Defense)
Gyms and raids: 20 power
Ultra Unlock event bonuses
The following bonuses will be active from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time:
2x Catch XP
2x Transfer Candy
2 additional Special trades during the event. This bonus stacks with the additional Special Trade bonus for the Season of GO, for a maximum of four Special trades for the event.
Trades made during the event will require 75% less Stardust. This bonus replaces the previous bonus that halves Stardust for trades, this bonus will not stack.
Group Play Bonuses
Trainers will be able to work together during Galarian Zigzagoon Community Day to unlock the following additional bonus: "If enough Pokémon are caught by Trainers with help from a single Lure Module, the 3× Stardust bonus for catching Pokémon near the Lured PokéStop will be increased to a 4× bonus Stardust for 30 minutes."
Special Research Story - Field Notes: Galarian Zigzagoon
A ticketed Special Research Story, Field Notes: Galarian Zigzagoon, will be available in the in-game shop for $1 USD (or the equivalent pricing tier in local currency) closer to the day of the event. Trainers will again have the option to gift a ticket to the Special Research story to their in-game friends!
Timed Research
📅 Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. → 7:00 p.m. (local time)
Trainers will have the chance to complete Timed Research by catching a total of 100 Galarian Zigzagoon to unlock the following rewards:
Obstagoon Hat
Obstagoon Glasses
Obstagoon Gloves
Obstagoon Pose
Special Event Items
Event-themed stickers will be available from PokéStops, Gifts, and the in-game shop
The Timed Research reward items will be available in the in-game shop following the event
Bonus Post-Community Day Raid Battles
📅 Saturday, August 13, from 2:00 p.m. → 7:00 p.m. (local time)
For five hours after Community Day, Galarian Linoone will be appearing in 4-⭐Raids. Trainers will only be able to challenge Galarian Linoone using (orange) Raid Passes and (green) Premium Battle Passes. Remote Raid passes cannot be used to join these Raids. After defeating Galarian Linoone, Galarian Zigzagoon will spawn in a 300-meter radius around that Gym for 30 minutes, with the same shiny odds as during Community Day hours.
